Aggressive Dog Breeds

Most people love dogs and like to keep them as a pet friend. Before you go to buy a dog pet for you, stop and think, is the breed that you have selected is friendly and best for your children? If you have kids in your house, then take extra care in choosing the dog. Dogs have numerous breeds, some are friendly to humans and other animals, but some are aggressive. These aggressive breeds are not best to keep in your house.  To help you to find the right one breed for keeping in your house, I will discuss some aggressive dog breeds that may not be good for you and your family.

How to find which dog breed is aggressive

The temperament of the dog can determine the aggressiveness of a dog; dogs with low temperament are considered as more dynamic in nature. This aggressiveness of the dog is related to the other animals. These dogs show dangerous behavior toward other individuals, including animals. Aggressive dogs show the bad behaviors, such as excessive barking, biting, lunging, and snarling.

The pet professional holds temperament tests, and the dog with low temperament is kept on the top of the list of aggressive dogs. 

Some common aggressive breeds of the dogs

Chihuahua

Dachshund

• The dachshund dogs belong to the hounds group of the dogs.  
• Their weight ranges from 8 to 32 pounds.
• They have different colors and long or short hairs.
• It is a small dog breed that was originated in the 17th century in Germany
• It is known as "small dog syndrome," due to its small size and great attitude. It has many behavioral issues.
• If you socialize these dogs at an early age, then they can behave well with the children but not all the time.
• Due to strong hunting instincts, they are not suitable for other animals, such as small pets like rabbits, cats, etc.

Chow Chow

• This dog is listed as a medium-sized dog in the non-sporting group.
• Their weight varies between 45 and 70 pounds.
• These dogs have a thick, long coat of the hairs and different colors such as red, black, cream, or cinnamon color. 
• These dogs have originated thousands of years ago, but their origin is still unknown. They belong to the hunting and herding dogs.
• They have a dominant personality and are not recommended for owners to keep as a pet due to their assertiveness. 
• To make them a well-mannered dog, consistent training and guidance are required.

Doberman pinscher

• The Doberman pinscher as a medium-sized.
• Their weight ranges from 70 to 90 pounds.
• They have a thick, short-haired coat and come in different colors.
• These dogs were originated in Germany and were used during traveling for protection in dangerous areas.
•  It is a brilliant breed and has been used for police work.
• They have a strong relationship with their owners, but you can make them behave well with the children through the best training. 

Dalmatian

• The Dalmatian is listed as a medium-sized dog in the working group.
• Their weight ranges from 45 to 60 pounds.
• They have a short and thick coat, with black or brown spots.
• The exact origin of these dogs is still known. But paintings of similar dogs have been found on walls of Egyptian tombs, running behind chariots. 
• The Dalmatian can live with other dogs but need socialization at an early age.
• These dogs are good with children usually, but if you do not pay attention to their behavior, then some behavioral issues may develop in them.
• These are energetic dogs and need a proper place to release some of his energy.

Rottweiler

• These dogs are listed as large-sized dogs in the working group.
• Their weight varies from 85 to 130 pounds.They have a short, straight, and dense coat with rust or mahogany markings.
• These dogs belong to the town of Rottweil in Germany. Their name is given due to their origin. 
• In the earlier days, these dogs were used for hunting purposes. They became popular in the U.S. as guard dogs and worked with the Army and police forces.
• These dogs do not accept strangers easily. 
• These dogs are very protective and sincere with their owners.
• They are usually good with children, but due to their size and energy level, they are not suitable for families with small children.

Jack Russell Terrier

• These are small-sized dogs and have the weight ranges from 14 to 18 pounds.
• They are white in color with black or tan markings.
• They may have a short-haired or long-haired coat.  
• These dogs were first found in England and were used for fox hunting. They were also used in groundhog and badger hunting.
• These are considered as very energetic and stubborn dogs. 
• They have a lack of patience and are not too suitable for the children.
